Henne
May 20, 1931 — Apr 2, 2014
Wilma R. Henne, age 82, resident of Colfax Township, passed into the hands of her Lord on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at McLaren Bay Regional Hospital.
She was born May 20, 1931, in Colfax Township to the late William J. and Helen A. (Baker) Roberts.
She was a member of the Free Methodist Church, Bad Axe. Wilma enjoyed quilting with the women of the church and sewing dresses with Amy's group on Thursdays, which were sent to children in Myanmar through the In Better Hands charity. In fact, she was quilting with the ladies on Tuesday, the day before her passing. A special part of Wilma's life was in the coffee klatch group that has been meeting for more than 55 years. She loved them all.
She is survived by her children, Dan Rapson of Bad Axe, twins; Ted Rapson of Saginaw and Tim (Kathryn Malehorn) Rapson of Decatur, Illinois and Brenda L. Mangold of Harbor Beach; Two sisters, Dorothy Duggan of Port Austin and Phyllis Reehl of New Port Richie, FL. She also has her Aunt Edith Snell of whom she was especially fond of; as well as several grandchildren, Matthew, Tiffany, Seneca, Grace, Benjamin, Deborah and Corey as well as their spouses and friends, great and great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Jane Messing of Kansas was also a very special friend.
Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Henne of Saginaw, parents, William and Helen Roberts, a brother, Robert Roberts and a sister, Norma Rouse.
A favorite Bible verse of Wilma's was 1 John 5:11, "God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son." It gave her strength in the assurances of her faith.
