Stuart Allan Booth, 82, of Clyde Township, formerly of Bad Axe, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2015 at Fresenius Medical Care in Port Huron.
Stuart was born on December 9, 1932. His parents are the late Frederick and Bertha (Hayes) Booth of Memphis, Michigan.
He married Mary Ann Govaere on May 4, 1957 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Armada.
Stuart served in the U.S. Army in Korea from 1953-1955. He worked at A & P Grocery Stores and McDonald's Food and Family Center for many years. Stuart enjoyed hunting pheasants and deer, fishing on his boat, traveling to Florida, Hawaii, Alaska, Arizona, Canada, Aruba, etc. and loved spending time with his family and friends.
Stuart is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Ann; daughter Ann Marie (Javier) Hernadez of Phoenix, AZ; sons Allan (Sara) Booth of Harbor Beach and Michael (Terri) Booth of Clyde Township; brother Ross (Jan) Shue; sisters Donna Short and Kathy (Mark) Kotelman; grandchildren Matthew, Katie, Jim and Jason; great grandchildren Mikayla, Keiron, and Hannah; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son Robert, brothers Gilbert Booth and Roger Shue and brother in law Bernard Short.
Mass of Christian burial will take place 11 am on Monday, March 16th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bad Axe with Fr. Robert Howe officiating. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 – 8 pm on Sunday, March 15th at MacAlpine Funeral Home in Bad Axe with a scripture service at 7:30 pm and 10 am until time of service on Monday, March 16th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Memorials may be offered to Davita Dialysis of Bad Axe or Fresenius Medical Care – Dialysis Center in Port Huron.
