Sandra Patricia (Susalla) Drews , age 78, of Verona Township, MI passed away peacefully on January 9, 2023 at Flint McClaren Hospital.  Sandra was born in Sherman Township, MI on August 11, 1944 to the late Raymond H. and Rita M. (Coyne) Susalla.

Sandra was a graduate of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic School in Ruth, MI.  Sandra was employed by Huron, Sanilac and Shiawassee Counties as Equalization Director over the course of her career.  On August 21, 1965 she married Edward Allen Drews. He preceded her in death on January 15, 1982.  Sandra was also preceded in death by her son, Edward Harold Drews on January 13, 2005, brother Ronald T. Susalla, brother Raymond P. Susalla and special friend John Baranic.

Sandra is survived and will be dearly missed by her daughter Lynn (Kenneth) Howard of Troy, MI; daughter Tracey (Randy) Miller of Bad Axe, MI; sister Bonnie Susalla of Bad Axe, MI; grandchildren: Ashlyn (Nathan) Peterson of Kinde, MI; Brian Howard of Troy, MI; Emily (Matthew) Sorgatz of Royal Oak, MI; Abbigal Drews and special friend Jaden Gauthier of Grayling, MI; Megan Miller of Bad Axe, MI; Ellen Miller of Bad Axe, MI; great granddaughter Georgia Rae Peterson of Kinde, MI; sisters-in-law Connie Susalla and Marie Susalla and many nieces and nephews.

Sandra loved spending time with her family, especially attending functions that her grandchildren were involved in.  She loved watching and rooting on the Detroit Tigers with her sister Bonnie.  Sandra was an avid Words with Friends player and loved watching Jeopardy.  Sandra loved playing the slots at the casino with her friends and family, especially in Vegas.

Visitation will be Friday, January 13 ^th from 2 pm to 8 pm and Saturday January 14 ^th from 10 am to 11 am at the MacAlpine Funeral home in Bad Axe, MI.  A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 14 ^th at 11 am at MacAlpine funeral home.  Her burial will take place in the spring at Saints Peter and Paul  Cemetery in Ruth, MI.  Condolences and memories may be shared with the family at www.macalpinefuneralhome.com .  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Bad Axe High School Quiz Bowl Team or the Bad Axe Public Library.
