Samuel Matthew Gage 67, of Bad Axe, passed away unexpectedly at his home on October 6, 2018. He was born on August 7, 1951 to the late James and Nelly (Vesich) Gage.

Sam was retired from Hewitt Packard where he worked as a computer programmer, and he enjoyed spending his time golfing and going to the casino.

He is survived by his daughter Lacey Friday of Essexville; his brothers:  James (Mierial) Gage, of Goodrich, George (Kathy) Gage of New Baltimore, Joseph (Julie) Gage of Port Hope, Daniel (Angel) Gage of Tampa, Florida and his sister: Carol Gage of Bad Axe; along with several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother Lloyd Gage and sister, Diane Parker and her husband Clifford.

Cremation has taken place at Sunset Valley Crematory in Bay City.

A memorial service will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at the MacAlpine Funeral Home in Bad Axe with Rev. William O'Nan officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be offered to the family to use at their discretion.
