Robert Eugene Taylor, 65, of Port Huron, formerly of Huron County, passed away on August 18, 2016.

Bob was born in Biloxi, Mississippi to the late Herman and Erma Taylor on August 5, 1951.

He was in the U.S. Navy. Bob was a past member of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary where he received numerous recognitions for his work. He will be remembered as an avid weather tracker, an astronomy fan, a volunteer at the soup kitchen, and a security officer for the Port Huron Silver Sticks Hockey. Bob also gave tours of the lighthouse in Port Huron. He was also involved in FEMA.

Bob is survived by his two step daughters, Tina Siemen and Marlene Whittenburg; his brothers, Anthony Taylor; David Taylor (special friend, Sheryl Beach); and William (Sharon) Taylor; his sisters, Sharon (Dan) Viler and Janet Erickson (special friend, Steve Peterson); two grandchildren; aunt, Wilda Price and uncle, Maxwell Taylor; numerous nieces and nephews and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Roger and Kerry Taylor.

Per Bob's wishes, direct cremation has taken place and a private graveside service will take place at a later date.

Memorials may be offered to the family discretionary fund.
