Robert J. Schroeder, 77, of Bad Axe, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2017 at Huron Medical Center.

Robert was born in Harbor Beach on January 16, 1940 to the late Lawrence and Alma (Pohl) Schroeder.

In August 6, 1960, he married the love of his life, Genevieve Mausolf.

Robert was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church/St. Hubert Parish. He was employed Tower formerly known as Active Industries for 40 years.   He also was in the Eagles Club in Caseville.   Robert enjoyed riding motorcycles, hunting, snowmobiling, riding on dirt bikes, sea-dos, dune buggies and boating.

Robert is survived by his wife of fifty-six years, Genevieve Schroeder of Bad Axe; his son, Randy Schroeder and his wife, Marcy, of Bad Axe; his daughters: Brenda Baldner and her husband, Brad, of Birmingham, Debbie Heilig and her husband, Tony of Commerce, and Kathy Burkhard and her husband, Harry, of Saginaw; grandchildren: Amy, Jason,  Harley, Christine, Jonathan, Brooke, Blake, Kim and Shawn.

Mass of Christian burial will take place 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bad Axe with Fr. Rob Howe officiating.  Burial will take place at the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at the MacAlpine Funeral Home in Bad Axe.  There will be a Scripture service at 7 p.m.   Visitation will be at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of service.
