Robert James Prill, 57, of Port Austin passed away peacefully at his home on July 18, 2014.
He was born on September 14, 1956 in Bad Axe to the late Alex and Florence (Fisher) Prill.
Robert enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, helping others, carpentry and lawn care. He was a member of the Port Austin Conservation Club.
Robert is survived by his fiancé, Deanna Kidd daughter of Virgil and Delphine Peplinski of Ruth; daughter Kristy (Randy) Suerwier; sons: Bryan Prill and Gena Leitch of Elkton, Ryan Prill and Kari Briesmiester of Elkton; step sons Joshua Kidd and Erica Johnston of Bad Axe, Trent Kidd and Hannah Seibert of Port Austin; step daughter Ashley Kidd of Port Austin; grandchildren: Bailey VanValkenburgh, Gavin Prill, Logan and Madison Briesmiester; brothers Gary (Terry) Prill of Port Austin, Frank (Susan) Prill of Trenton, Florida, and Tony (Pam) Prill of Cass City; sisters Shirley (Keith) Peters of Port Austin, Cindy (Eric) Sowders of Port Austin, Bonnie Prill and Kevin Goretski of Port Austin, and Connie Prill and Dale Hartsell of Port Austin; along with many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister Marjorie Prill.
A mass of Christian burial will take place on Monday, July 21st at 11 am at St. Michael's Church in Port Austin. Burial will take place at a later date.
Visitation will be from 6pm – 8pm, Saturday, July 19th and from 2 – 8 pm on Sunday, July 20th with a scripture service at 7 pm at MacAlpine Funeral Home in Bad Axe, and at the church on Monday from 10 am until time of service.
