Robert Orr Bailey, 81, of Bad Axe, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2015 at Huron County Medical Care Facility.
He was born in Bad Axe on April 24, 1934 to the late Orville and Osie (McAlpine) Bailey.
On October 29, 1955 he married the love of his life, Jean M. Gintner. She preceded him in death on April 18, 2010.
Robert was in the U.S. Army, serving from December 13, 1956 to December 9, 1958. He worked as a foreman at the Pickle Factory in Bad Axe. He was a hard worker, enjoyed to fish and spending time with his family and friends.
Robert is survived by his brothers: Orville Bailey of Bad Axe and Dennis (Sandra) Bailey of Pigeon; several nieces and nephew; close friends Don Mattice, Chuck Gilbert and neighbor Greg.
He was preceded in death by his siblings: Don, Willy, Garvey, Donna Jean, Joyce and Irene and a sister in law, Mary Ann.
Funeral services will be 2 pm on Thursday, September 24th at the MacAlpine Funeral Home in Bad Axe with Rev. John Stroke officiating. Visitation will be from 10 am until time of service.
Memorials may be offered to the family discretionary fund.
