Richard Loy Green, 72 years old, of Bad Axe passed away on Saturday May 8 ^th , 2021, at the VA hospital in Ann Arbor.

Richard was born to the late Joseph and Velma (Smith) Green.

Richard served in the United States Army in Vietnam for one year. He received several medals, including the Bronze Star.  He married Kathleen McLeod in 2004 and resided in Bad Axe. He was a retired machinest, working in the automotive business.

Richard enjoyed doing puzzles, fishing and boating, going scuba diving and snorkeling, and taking many family vacations.

Richard is survived by his wife Kathy, and his daughters Alison Dombeck, Jennifer (Pete) Libby, and Angela Campbell ( fiance Stephen Bowers); his grandchildren, Matthew (fiance Sarah Medogrol), Jake, Caitlin, Samantha, Forrest and Storm; several nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends; his sister Ann Spinkek, and step sister Barbara (Steve) Cahoon.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his step father Earl Matthews, his brother John Green, brother in law Richard Spinek, his sister Irene Norman and step sister Kathy Bissette.

A funeral service for Richard will be held on Thursday, May 13 ^th , at 11:00, at the Free Methodist Church of Bad Axe, with Pastor Jerry Sutton presiding.

Visitation will take place from 10:30-11:00, at the church before the service.
