Ralph L. Rifenbark, 90 years old of Bad Axe, passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at Courtney Manor in Bad Axe.

Ralph was born on November 29, 1931, to the late Henry and Nellie (Hubbard) Rifenbark. He married Helen Ventline on January 11, 1962, and they were married for 60 years. Ralph was proud of his service in the Army, having fought in the Korean War. He enjoyed fishing, watching the Tigers, planting and tending his garden, and was a member of the Good Old Boys Shuffle League for many years in Bad Axe, and was known for his many years of employment for the Bad Axe Public Schools as a custodian and maintenance.

Ralph is survived by his wife Helen, his children James Rifenbark, Michael (Kristen) Rifenbark; his daughters Carrie (Dale) Byykkonen, Grace Rifenbark (special friend Don Stern), and Paula (Michael) Couch; his grandchildren Krystal (Chris) Mattice, Doug Byykkonen, Kenneth (Natasha) Johnson, Melissa (Charlie) Gardner, and Maci and Elle Rifenbark; 9 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Ralph was preceded in death by his son Terrance Rifenbark, and his brother and sister in law Frank and Joann Rifenbark.

A funeral service will take place on Tuesday April 5 ^th , 2022 at the MacAlpine Funeral Home in Bad Axe at 1:00, with visitation from 11-1:00 at the funeral home.

Military burial will take place at a later date at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.
