Peter Alan Soper, 53, of Bad Axe passed away on February 23, 2016 in Deming, New Mexico.

He was born in Bad Axe on August 26, 1962 to the late James and Greta (Thrower) Soper.

Pete was an avid Detroit Lions fan, enjoyed playing video games, watching movies, playing Euchre and Monopoly games; riding on the Amtrak trains and loved spending time with his family, friend, and neighbors.

He is survived by his children: Jacob Soper and girlfriend Alicia Bassett of Camp Pendleton, California; Jolysea (Cory) Ranger of Birch Run; and Jordan Soper of San Diego, California; sisters: Cathy (Dan) Abraham of Argyle; and Karen (Bill) Jurgess of Harbor Beach; brothers: James (Robin) Soper of Port Hope; Jerry (Janet) Soper of Parisville; Sam (Rose) Soper of Bad Axe and Clarence Soper of Harbor Beach; several nieces and nephews; friends Julie and Sylvester (Mike) Byarski; and his beloved dog Sasha.

Peter was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Arntz.

Funeral service for Pete will be 11 am on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at the MacAlpine Funeral Home in Bad Axe with Rev. William O'Nan officiating. Cremation will take place after the service at Sunset Valley Crematory in Bay City.

Visitation will be 3 to 8 pm on Monday, February 29, 2016 and 9 am until time of service on Tuesday, March 1, 2016.

Memorials may be offered to the family discretionary fund.
