Patrick Frank Lerash, 78 years old of Bad Axe, passed away peacefully at his home on January 15, 2024. He was born on December 16,1946 to the late Frank and Helen (Smith) Lerash. On March 12, 1983 he married Holly McCracken and they were married for 34 years, before she preceded him in death in July of 2017.

Pat owned the Franklin Inn for many decades, acquiring it from his father Frank. He was a member of the Lions Club, Fraternal Order of Eagles #3690, American Legion #499, a life-time member of NRA, and member of the Ubly Fox Hunters. He loved his muscle car, a 1971 Plymouth GTX, cruising the shoreline with his buddies. He was an avid gun enthusiast, enjoyed going to casinos with Holly, and attending bar and restaurant shows all over the state. Pat was an animal lover and loved his "granddoggers" and his favorite couch companion "Kitty".

Pat is survived by his children; Franklin (Tonya) Lerash, of Texas, Amy (James) Evans, of WA, Morgan (Joseph) Drossos of Farmington Hills, Alex (Kaitlind) Lerash of Bad Axe; grandchildren Nolan, Gordon, Cooper, Dominick and Maxton; brother Paul (Cathy) Lerash; sisters Lora Lerash Humbarger and Susan Lerash; brother-in-law Mark McCracken and several nieces and nephews.

He was proceeded in death by his wife; brothers-in-law Richard Humbarger and Bruce Smith.

Funeral service for Patrick will be held on Monday, January 20, 2025 at 6:00 PM at MacAlpine Funeral Home in Bad Axe.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 20, 2025 from 3:00-6:00 PM at MacAlpine Funeral Home.

Memorials may be offered in Pat's name to the Thumb Animal Shelter in Elkton.
