Patricia Ann Essenmacher

Patricia Ann Essenmacher 88 years old, was welcomed into her heavenly home on August 18, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Patricia was born on October 5, 1937 to the late Jacob and Rose (Smaglinski) Ulfig. Patricia married Floyd Essenmacher on October 5, 1957 and they were married for 31years before he passed away.

Patricia was a member of St. Michael Church (Annunciation of the Lord Parish), Port Austin, Michigan and was a member of the Rosary Sodality. Patricia was a homemaker, and enjoyed raising her children on her farm. She was a 4-H leader, on the MSU extension, and often could be found selling baked goods at the Farmer’s Market in Port Austin.

She loved to sew and made beautiful quilts, Barbie doll clothes, Raggedy Ann dolls that have been given as gifts to many exchange students all over the world. She cooked for weddings over many years, was a Foster grandparent at North Huron Schools in which she really enjoyed the time she spent with children. She loved to play BINGO, putting jigsaw puzzles together, and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren going to many of their school and sporting events.

Patricia is survived by her sons Tony (Marcia) Essenmacher of Kinde, Mark (Cindy) Essenmacher of Chandler, NC; daughters Susan (Joseph) Osantoski, Port Austin, Debbie (Bill) McPhail, Bad Axe; brothers Linus (Delores) Ulfig of MN, Ernest (Eva) of CA, Arthur of Kentucky; sisters Delphine of Port Hope, Susan (Bob) Stanton of Lapeer. She is also survived by her grandchildren Jason (Kelli) Osantoski, David (Nicole) Osantoski, Nancy (Zac) Carr, Jackie (Brian) Lampela, Evan Essenmacher, Melinda Osantoski, Victoria (Chris) Deming, Joseph (Amelia) Osantoski Jr., Crystal (Patrick) Putt, Ashley (Richard) Osantoski, Vanessa (Nick) Harrison, Caroline (David) Milnes, Kyle Essenmacher, Krista Pawlowski, Mason Jordon, Miley Jordon, Mackenzie Jordon and 20 great-grandchildren with another on the way, and several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; brother Donald Ulfig, and her brother-in-law Hillary Pawlowski.

A Mass of Christian burial will be 12:00 pm on Friday, August 21, 2026 at St. Michael Church (Annunciation of the Lord Parish) in Port Austin, Michigan with Fr. Andy Booms officiating.

Visitation will be held at 11:00 am at the church until the time of service.
