Orville Bailey Jr., 79, of Verona Township, passed away on April 12, 2017 at Huron Medical Center.

He was born on April 16, 1937 in Pigeon, Michigan to the late Orville and Osie (McAlpine) Bailey.

Orville married Mary Ann Breismister on December 16, 1961. She preceded him in death on May 26, 2003.

Orville enjoyed woodworking, fishing, gardening, listening to country music and visiting with family and friends. He worked at the Pickling Factory and at Nugent Dairy Farm.

Orville is survived by his daughters: Tammie Johnson and her husband, Danny, of Pigeon and Patricia Kelly and her husband, Scott, of Caseville; his grandchildren: Alicia (Carl) Woolford of Caseville, Michelle and Kortney Thumme of Adrian, Amanda and Kevin Serra of Westland, Jennifer (Cory) Woolford of Elkton and Bailey Kelly of Caseville; two great grandchildren: Connor and Carley; his brother, Dennis Bailey and his wife, Sandra of Pigeon; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his siblings: Garvey, Willy, Robert, Donna, Irene, and Don Bailey.

Per Orville's wishes, cremation has taken place at Sunset Valley Crematory in Bay City. A memorial service will take place at noon on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at the Bad Axe United Methodist Church with Pastor Phil Tousley officiating.

Memorials may be offered to the family discretionary fund.
