Nellie "Betty" R. Weisenbach, 92, of Port Austin, also Warren, Michigan and Mesa, Arizona, passed away on August 6, 2018 at McLaren Thumb Region Hospital in Bad Axe after being at Courtney Manor just over two months.

Betty was born on March 24, 1926 in Filion, Michigan to the late Murdoch and Mary (Fuller) Day.

She graduated from Port Hope High School.

On August 23, 1947, she married Donald Weisenbach.  He preceded her in death on November 10, 2001.  They bought a house in Mesa, Arizona in the 80's and soon spent half the year there.

She loved having parties both in Arizona and Michigan.   She also loved traveling, golfing, gardening, reading and feeding the birds including hummingbirds; in Arizona she also fed rabbits and quail.

Betty is survived by her son, Ron S. Weisenbach and his wife, Mary Jane, of Port Austin her daughter, Dianna Rapson of St. Clair Shores; grandchildren: Ron J. (Britney) Weisenbach, Rebecca Harris, and Cara Rapson; step-grandchildren: Mike (Sheryl) Fisher, Mary Jane (Jerry) Lamere and Steve (Stacey) Fisher; great grandchildren: Brooklyn and Danielle Harris, Veronica and Grace Weisenbach and Max Climer; step- great-grandchildren: Amber Fisher, Michael (Megan) Fisher, Zach and Nathan Fisher, Brett and Karina Lamere and Jacob and Gabriella Fisher; one step great great-grandchild: Henry Fisher.  She is also survived by her brothers, George "Art" Day and Charles (JoAnn) Day; one sister, Bertha (Day) Broyles and a sister-in-law, Rhoda (Henke) Day; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son-in- law, Danny Rapson; granddaughter, Heather Weisenbach; her brother, Grant Day; her sister, Bea (Day) Wellman; her brothers-in-law, Ward Wellman and John Broyles and her sister-in-law, Dolores (Wrubel) Day.

Funeral service for Betty will be 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at the MacAlpine Gage Chapel in Kinde with Pastor Dennis Wegner officiating.  Burial will follow at New River Cemetery in Port Austin, Michigan.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Friday, August 10, 2018 at the MacAlpine Gage Chapel in Kinde and on Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of service.

Memorials may be offered to the family discretionary fund.
