Monica Hyzer 84 of Filion passed away December 4, 2024 at her home with her loved ones by her side. Daughter to the late Edward and Margaret Branigan, she was born in Edinburg Scotland.  Monica is preceded in death by her loving husband Dale of 63 years, her daughter Susie Flynn, her sister Marina Koebele and their son-in-law William Allison.  Together they raised their children; Edward (Kelly) Hyzer of Bad Axe, Kenny (Nicole Smith) Hyzer of Bridgman Michigan, Patricia (Steven) Carter of Almont.  Monica is also survived by her sister Margaret McManus of California, son-in-law Conley Saylor of Almont Michigan.

Grandchildren;  Conrad Barry, Jacob (Katie) Hyzer, Stephanie (Tim) Kindberg, Sue Ellen Bond, Jimmy (Kristie) Flynn, Shawna Flynn, Jessica (Luke) Johnson.  Great- grandchildren Joslyn Flynn, Jimmy Flynn, Audrey Flynn, Nora Flynn, Kendra Flynn, Kira Flynn, Kara Flynn, Vera Allison, Mina Kindberg, Susie Mae Johnson, Stella Rae Johnson.

Monica was happiest being outside with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. They enjoyed blowing bubbles and drawing with sidewalk chalk with their loving grandmother and great-grandmother. Monica and Dales children have fond memories of their parents playing pranks on each other keeping their love alive.

After the passing of Dale, Monica enjoyed watching Dale's favorite Gunsmoke episodes to keep his memory alive.

Funeral service for Monica will be held at MacAlpine Funeral Home of Bad Axe, on Sunday December 8, 2024 at 3PM. Pastor Tim Callow will be officiating.  Visitation will be held on Sunday December 8, 2024 from 1:00 pm to 3:00pm at MacAlpine Funeral Home.

Memorials may be offered in memory of Monica to the family c/o Patricia Carter.
