Michelle M. Capling, 52, of Bad Axe and formerly of Anchorage, Alaska, passed away suddenly on December 3, 2021 at McLaren Bay Region Hospital in Bay City, Michigan.

She was born on April 13, 1969 in Anchorage, Alaska.  Her parents were Paul and Martha (Otten) Kahutak.

Michelle married Todd S. Capling on June 25, 1989 in Bad Axe, Michigan.  Together they had 4 children.

Michelle enjoyed spending time with her family, playing card games, doing crossword puzzles, playing Bingo and watching football.  She was always thinking of others first.

She is survived by her husband, Todd Capling of Bad Axe; her children: Kyle Capling of Anchorage, Sean Capling of Bad Axe, Kora Capling of Anchorage and Morgan Capling of Bad Axe; grandchildren: Prestin and Parker Capling and Orion Fibranz.  Michelle is also survived by her father-in-law, Peter B. Capling; sisters-in-law: Megan Capling (significant other, Dean Deering) and Kristen Capling (husband, Naeem Haider); brother-in-law, Peter B. Capling II; along with many nieces and nephews.

Michelle was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Jerry Kahutak and mother-in-law, Sue Capling.

Cremation has taken place at Sunset Valley Crematory in Bay City.   A memorial service will take place at a later date.
