Michael Curtis
Hruska
Sep 25, 1966 — Mar 5, 2025
Bad Axe
Michael Hruska 58 years old of Bad Axe passed away unexpectedly on March 5, 2025. He was born on September 25, 1966, to his loving parents, Michael and Lola Hruska. He graduated from Vassar High School in 1984. Michael married Tammy Walker on August 30th, 2015, and together they raised four beautiful children.
Michael was known as Mike or to some "Uncle Good Lookin'". He split his time between family, friends, football, and his restaurant, Pompei. His competitive spirit shown through in all that he did. Whether during his years couching Reese football, countless poker games, or backyard contests with the kids, Mike wasn't going to let anyone win without a fight. But, through it all he was always good for a joke or a witty side comment, sure to make anyone crack a smile. He was a devoted Lions fan, but more than that he was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend to many.
Michael is survived by his wife, Tammy Hruska, children Madelyn, Will, Elayna, and Lola. His sisters: Kathy (Hruska) Palmer, Lisa Charters, Karen (Hruska) Jay Hebert. Father and Mother-in-law; Ed and Nancy Walker. Brothers and sisters in law, Todd and Chelsea Walker, Chad and Terri Maurer. His nieces; Lisa Palmer, Emma Maurer and Casey Walker. Nephews; Doug Palmer, Graydon Maurer and Cody Walker.
