M. Maxine Errer Wing, 77, of Colfax Township, passed away on November 6, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family.
Maxine was born on May 10, 1937 to the late Everette and Margarette (Howey) Lowe in Pinconning.
On July 12, 1958, she was united in marriage to Alvin Errer. In 1978, Maxine and Alvin purchased the Elkton I.G.A. which she continued to operate after Alvin's death in 1985. On August 3, 1992, Maxine wed Ronald Wing. Maxine retired after closing the store in 2002. She also worked for Community Bank, now Independent Bank, in Bad Axe for twenty years.
Maxine enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles and especially bowling, having been on a league until this year.
Maxine is survived by her husband, Ronald of Bad Axe; children Cheri (Syl) Kubiak of Pigeon, Craig Errer of Cass City, Thomas (Carrie) Errer of Fenton; step children Leonard Wing, Debra Fritz, Paul (Beth) Schnitker, all of Sebewaing; brother Leonard Lowe of Pigeon, In-laws Raymond (Elaine) Errer of Bad Axe, Dorothy Rummel of Pigeon, and Bud Wing of Sebewaing; nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death along with Alvin are brother in law Loren Collison, sisters in law Adina Knechtel and Reva Wing.

Funeral service will be 11 am Monday, November 10th at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Bad Axe. Burial at Colfax Township Cemetery.
Visitation will be Saturday, November 8th from 5-9 pm, Sunday, November 9th from 2-9pm at MacAlpine Funeral Home in Bad Axe and 10am until time of service at the church on Monday, November 10th.
Memorials may be offered to Our Savior Lutheran Church or Heartland Hospice
