Mark L. Prescott, 52, of Colfax Township, passed away on June 23, 2021 after an accident.

He was born in West Branch, Michigan on July 20, 1968 to Lloyd and Marcia (Cameron) Prescott.

Mark married the love of his life, Maria M. Moreno, on August 3, 1996 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Harbor Beach.

He was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Prescott, Michigan and attended at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bad Axe.

Mark graduated from Whittemore-Prescott High School in 1986; he then went on to Saginaw Valley State University to earn his Bachelor's in Science.  Mark worked as a medical lab tech at McLaren Thumb Region Hospital.  His "second" job was being a personal trainer and #1 fan to his daughter, Jelena, with all her races and triathlons.  Mark was a member of the Bad Axe Athletic Boosters; he coached tennis for over 20 years at the Bad Axe High School and started the Harbor Beach High School program.  He participated in many triathlons as well.

Mark is survived by his wife of 24 years, Maria Prescott; his daughter, Jelena Prescott of Colfax Twp., his parents, Lloyd and Marcia Prescott of Prescott, Mich. and his brother, Dennis (Elizabeth) Prescott of Prescott, Mich.  He is also survived by his father and mother-in-law, Marcelino & Columbia Moreno; in-laws: Aida (Randy) Bischer of Harbor Beach, Alma Moreno-Babcock of Harbor Beach, Norma (Randy) Emerick of Bad Axe, Marc Moreno Jr. (Kasey) of Davison and Jessica (Doug) Jewell of Harbor Beach; along with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his Grandma and Grandpa Cameron and Grandma and Grandpa Prescott.

A funeral service for Mark will be 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at the Faith Gospel Tabernacle Church with Pastor Mike Beeler officiating.  Burial will follow at Colfax Township Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at the MacAlpine Funeral Home in Bad Axe.  Visitation will also be at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of service.

Memorials may be offered to the family to be used at their discretion.
