Mrs. Marie Ann Roberts, 84, of Ubly, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2026, at Meadow Lane in Bad Axe under hospice care. Marie was born Dec. 19, 1941, in Bad Axe, to the late Stanley and Gertrude (Briolat) Glaza.

She married William "Bill" Roberts on June 23, 1962, at St. John Catholic Church in Ubly. Marie was a graduate of Ubly High School. She was a parishioner at St. John Catholic Church in Ubly. Marie owned and operated Marie's Beauty Shop out of her home in Ubly for many years before her retirement, and she truly loved doing hair. She was a member of the Alabama Jubilee. Known as "Nana" to her family, Marie cherished any time spent with her family and friends. She especially enjoyed watching and raising race horses, and she loved traveling. She enjoyed her many years she spent living between Michigan and Florida, and she never turned down a good shopping trip.

Marie is survived by her children: Lynette Drake and her husband, Al; Ryan Roberts; and Jeffrey Roberts and his wife, Deborah. Grandchildren, Austin Drake, Hanna Kubacki and her husband, Kurt, Sarah Roberts, McKenna Belill and her husband Levi, and Rachel Roberts. Great-granddaughter Jordyn Kubacki; brothers Arnold Glaza and Larry Glaza and his wife, Delores "Doty."; sister-in-law Marcia Glaza, and many nieces and nephews.

Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; her parents, Stanley and Gertrude Glaza; her infant son, David and her brother, Donald "Orv" Glaza and sister in law Judy Glaza. She is also preceded in death by her brothers and sisters in law; Lou and Viginia Roberts, Hank and Leona Heilig, Jack and Jean Nash, Floyd and Eleanor Booms, Elmer and Dorothy Shroeder, and Bob and Evelyn Zmich.

A memorial service for Marie Roberts, will be held Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 11:00 am, at MacAlpine Funeral Home Mac Chapel in Bad Axe. Fr. Pat O'Connor will officiate. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery in Ubly, where Marie will be laid to rest next to Bill.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 30, 2026 from 9:00-11:00 am at MacAlpine Funeral Home Mac Chapel in Bad Axe.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at Meadow Lanes and also Kassie at A & D Hospice for the wonderful care she was given during her stay.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to A&D Hospice, Meadow Lane in Bad Axe, or the Alzheimer's Association.
