Obituary

Lillian Charlotte McLeod, age 86, passed away peacefully at the Huron County Medical Care Facility surrounded by her children on September 14, 2016.

She was born Lillian Charlotte Hill on March 3, 1930 to the late Marion Margaret and Walter Thomas Hill.

Lillian lived most of her life in Bad Axe. She was employed by Murphy's Bakery for forty seven years, one year longer than her mother, who also worked there. Lillian enjoyed reading and had enough books to open up her own library. She also enjoyed her many cats and traveling. Lillian has traveled all over the world including France, Spain, Greece, Egypt, Turkey, England, and Scotland, just to name a few.

Lillian married Alex Elwood McLeod on June 19, 1948. He resides at Huron County Medical Care Facility. From this union, they had four children: Alex E. McLeod Jr., Allan (Lori) McLeod, Gregory (Nancy) McLeod and Kathleen (Rick) Green. Lillian is also survived by her four grandchildren: Robert (Jennifer) Campbell, James (Amanda) McLeod, Michael McLeod and Angela Campbell; seven great grandchildren: Carlee, Hailee, Logan, Kevin, Forrest, Seth and Storm; two sisters in law, Elizabeth Hill and Elizabeth McLeod; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her only sibling, James Donald Hill in 2014 and her daughter in law, Sharon McLeod.

She will be missed by those here who love and know her, but welcomed with open arms by those who have been waiting for her.
