Obituary

Karl Byarski, 100, longtime resident of Kinde, passed away peacefully at his home December 22, 2016 under hospice care.

Karl was the son of the late Valentine and Florence Byarski of Kinde.

He married Margaret Lerash, daughter of Frank Sr. and Hattie Lerash, over 75 years prior to her death in 2013.

During his life, Karl and his wife, Margaret owned an egg delivery business where he would travel to various farmers and pick up farm fresh eggs, candle them to check for any defects, carton them and once a week delivered them in cases to businesses in the Detroit area.

During their free time, Karl and Margaret enjoyed traveling in their van.  Camping along the way and cooking on a small stove outdoors.  Karl and Margaret loved nature and took every opportunity to spend time doing activities outside including mushroom picking, bird watching, picnics, camping and barbeques in the woods on a campfire.

Karl was a devoted father and loved his family with all his heart.  He acquired many friends over the years due to his wonderful personality and warm welcoming attitude toward people.  He was also a gentle kind man that loved animals.

As time passed, Karl acquired a reel to reel tape recorder and began recording many friends and family events.  His passion for fiddle music resulted in thousands of recordings done in his basement along with various homes of relatives and friends playing music.  This blossomed into recordings of family events, church happenings and nature sounds all now preserved with his recordings.

Karl and Margaret enjoyed a simple life surrounded by family and friends in a loving environment that resulted in a lifetime of memories that will be cherished forever.
