Karen L. Lalonde, age 77, formerly of Bad Axe, passed away at her home in Orleans, Michigan under hospice care on April 12, 2021.

She was born in Marine City, Michigan on November 14, 1943 to the late Gerald and Marjorie (Rail) Buck.

Karen married Gary Lalonde on April 4, 1964 in Marine City.  They were married for 37 years before he passed away on January 17, 2002.

Karen worked as a book-keeper for Little Caesars and also worked at the bridal shop.  She enjoyed painting as a hobby and was quite gifted. Many of her children and grandchildren have her artwork displayed in their homes and will be lasting memories that can be cherished for years to come.

Left to cherish her memory is her children: Robert "Bob" Lalonde and his wife, Helen; Steve Lalonde and his wife, Sherrie; Michael "Mick" Lalonde and Eric Lalonde; 14 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by her niece, Nicole (Carl) Bracken and nephew, Dennis Jr. (Amy) Buck.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Dennis Buck.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. on Friday, April 16, 2021 at the MacAlpine Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Colfax Township Cemetery.   Visitation will also be on Friday from 11 a.m. until time of service.
