Joy Elizabeth Cranston, 61, of Bad Axe, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2018 at her home under Heartland Hospice care.

Joy was born in Bad Axe, Michigan on May 4, 1957 to the late Elwood and Avalon (Parrish) Cregeur.

She graduated from Bad Axe High School in 1976.

On May 6, 1978, she married the love of her life, David Cranston.

Joy raised three wonderful daughters.   She was an avid M&M memorabilia collector.   Joy enjoyed traveling, camping, boating, fishing, riding motorcycles, listening to country music and spending & having a good time with her family and friends.

Joy is survived by her husband of forty years, David Cranston of Bad Axe; her three daughters, Tina Wisniewski and her husband, Scott, of New Haven, Krista Camacho and her husband, Andrew of Bad Axe and Jessica Cranston of Bad Axe; five grandchildren: Brett and Eliza Wisniewski, Ayden Camacho, and Andrick and Ella Marks; her siblings, Charlotte (Frank) Jaworski, Thomas (Judy) Cregeur, Carolyn (Bob) Krohn, Terry (Carl) Duda, Christene Titsworth, and Noreen Helwig, Lee Cregeur, Dan (Kathy) Cregeur, Eric Cregeur, Hollie Walsh and Kelly (Dale) Ricker.   She was also survived by her sisters-in-law, Alberta (Stewart) Justin and Diane Cranston; 16 nephews, 11 nieces, 23 great nephews, 12 great nieces, 2 great-great nephews and 1 great-great niece.

She was preceded in death by her brothers- in- law, Larry Cranston, William Stinson and Chuck Titsworth and her sister-in-law, Lucille Cranston.

Funeral service for Joy will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at the MacAlpine Funeral Home in Bad Axe with Rev. Stewart Justin officiating.   Cremation will take place following the service.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at the MacAlpine Funeral Home in Bad Axe and on Thursday, 10 a.m. until time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be offered to the family discretionary fund.
