Joseph Lee Yaroch, 67, of Sigel Township, passed away unexpectedly at his home on November 27, 2020.

He was born in Bad Axe, Michigan on December 9, 1952 to the late Patricia Yaroch and Kenneth Butler.

Joseph married Darlene Jurgess on October 19, 1974 in Rapson.  He worked at Walmart in Bad Axe for many years.   Joe also worked at U.S. Manufacturing and Hamel Manufacturing.  He was a kind, caring, family man who enjoyed spending time with his wife, daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Joe also enjoyed good conversations with his close friend, Fred Jurgess, and brothers-in-law, Ken and Kevin Jurgess.

Joe is survived by his wife of 46 years, Darlene Yaroch; his daughters: Stacie (John) Valley of Cass City, and Dawn (Thomas) Cupach of Cleveland, Ohio; his grandchildren: Shelby, Brittany (Jacob), Abigail, Paige, Colin, Bryan and Jack; great-grandchildren: Amelia, Joseph and Malcolm; step great-grandson, Ben and Jen Stahlbaum who was like a daughter.  He is also survived by his sisters: Diane Johnston, Lori Johnston and Pamela Ashenden; his brothers, Kenneth (Ruthann) Butler, Ricky Butler and Donald Butler; his brothers & sisters-in-law: Karen (Ron) Pichla, Ken Jurgess, Steve (Betty) Jurgess, Mark (Janet) Jurgess, Kevin (Donna) Jurgess, Kim (Francis) Sweeney, Roxanne (Dan) Peruski, Tom (Colleen) Jurgess and Bonnie (Paul) Damm; along with several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia (Yaroch) Wells; his father, Kenneth C. Butler; his brother, Marvin Johnston; his sister, Deborah Johnston; his grandparents, Frank and Gertrude (Rice) Yaroch; his mother and father-in-law, Marcella and Lawton Jurgess; his brother-in-law, Charlie Green and a special uncle, Michael Yaroch.

Funeral service will be 12 noon on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at MacAlpine Funeral Home in Bad Axe, with Fr. T. J. Fleming officiating.  Burial will follow at Verona Township Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Monday, November 30, 2020 with a Scripture service at 7 p.m.  Visitation will also be on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until time of service.
