Our loving son, brother, and best friend, Jerome Garrett Kladzyk , age 35, passed away on May 21, 2018 in Macomb County due to injuries from an automobile accident.

Jerome was born in Bad Axe on January 30, 1983 to Garrett and Susan (Martinez) Kladzyk.  He graduated from North Huron High School in 2001.

Jerome was the kind of person everyone wanted to be around; who could light up the room with the smile in his eyes.  He was always making jokes with his many impersonations of family and close friends.  He loved to play golf and shoot pool.  He was an excellent chef and loved cooking for family and friends.   Jerome was taken too soon from so many people who loved and cherished him.  He will be remembered in our hearts always.

He is survived by his parents, Garrett and Susan Kladzyk of Bad Axe; his sisters, Kristy Kladzyk and her husband, Bruno Valadao of Chicago, Illinois and Alyssa Kladzyk of Bad Axe; his fiancé, Brittney Averill of Kinde; his nephew, Garrett Moyer of Ubly; grandmother, Heneritta Martinez of McGregor,  Texas and many aunts, uncles and cousins.  Jerome was also survived by his many friends, including his partners in crime: Andy West, Donnie Wrahell, Jorden Hessling, Ray Dean and Brian Breuss.  His Boston terriers, Riley and Bella will also miss him dearly.

Jerome was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jerome and Helen Kladzyk and Lupe Martinez Sr.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at the MacAlpine Funeral Home in Bad Axe.  Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. on Friday, May 25, 2018 at the MacAlpine Funeral Home in Bad Axe and on Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of service.

Memorials may be offered to the Thumb Animal Shelter in Elkton.
