Jeffery F. Gottschalk, age 38, of Palm Springs, CA, formerly of Filion, MI, passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at his home.  He was born August 18, 1978 in Bad Axe to Fredrick and Debra (Frantz) Gottschalk.

Jeffery was a 1997 graduate of North Huron High School and attended Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan and DeVry University in Chicago, Illinois.  He moved to Palm Springs, California in June 2016.

Jeffrey is survived by his mother, Debra (Gottschalk) Allen, and step father, Gary Allen of Filion; one sister, Jennifer Wagester and her husband, Raymond, of Franktown, Colorado; and nieces, Anna and Alison Wagester.  Jeff is also survived by step sisters, Jennifer Allen of Clarksville, Tennessee and Jessica Newton and her husband, Brian of Louisville, Kentucky; grandmother, Delores Higgins-Frantz, along with several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Fredrick Gottschalk; grandparents: Herman and Regina Gottschalk, and Harold and Mary Jane Frantz; and an uncle, Richard Frantz.

A memorial mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Port Austin with Fr. Craig Carolan officiating.  A gathering will be held at the church from 8:30 a.m. until time of service.  A celebration of life will also be held in June 2017.

Memorials may be made in Jeff's memory to the North Huron School Athletic Program in Kinde or to the family discretionary fund.
