Jeanette A. Heilig, 90 years old of Huron City, Michigan, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2022 at Courtney Manor in Bad Axe, Michigan. Jeanette lived her life on a farm in Huron City all of her life.  Jeanette was the daughter of the late William and Margaret (Oswald) Heilig and she was one of 21 children.

Jeanette loved gardening and going to the casino.  She was also an avid reader and could often be seen with a book in her hand. Jeanette enjoyed and looked forward to having her nieces and nephews come for visits.

Jeanette is survived by her brothers Wilfred Heilig and Gerald Heilig; one sister Lucille Hintz, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her siblings; Paul, Nona, Clarence, Marcus, Gertrude, Catherine, Ralph, Genevieve, Bernard, Benjamin, Margaret, Beatrice, William, Winifred, Nicholas, Harold and Regina.

The funeral service for Jeanette will be held on November 5, 2022 at MacAlpine Gage Chapel in Kinde at 1:00 PM, with Fr. Craig Carolan officiating. Visitation will be 11:00 until the time of service at MacAlpine Gage Chapel.  A private burial will take place a New River Cemetery, Port Austin, Michigan.
