Jason D. Osantowski, age 47 of Bad Axe, passed away on January 14, 2022, at home from cancer, under hospice care, with his family by his side.

Jason was born April 23, 1974 in Cass City, to (late) Stanley and Rozella (Koglin) Osantowski. Jason graduated from Ubly High School in 1992. He met the love of his life, Catherine Sageman, in January of 1990. They raised three children, whom he loved very much and was very proud of, and was also a grandfather to his four grandchildren whom he adored and loved to be with.

Jason was a very talented, kind, hardworking man who took pride in his work. He currently worked for Shemka Trucking and Paul Smaglinski Farms. Jason loved to travel, hunt, snowmobile, fish, go to truck and tractor pulls, and spend time with his family and friends.

Jason is survived by his wife of 32 years, Catherine; his children Amber R. (Chuck) Loomis, Jason D. Osantowski, Jr., Dustin Sageman;  his grandchildren Alyvia, Coleston, Chace and Aubrey Loomis. He is also survived by his mother, Rozella Osantowski; sisters, Nancy (Matt) Jurgess, Donna Arn; brothers  Stanley Osantowski Jr., Kenneth (Cami) Osantowski and Ervin Osantowski;  his sisters –in-law Amy, Michelle, Wendy, Kimberly and Barbara Sageman. He was preceeded in death by his father, Stanley Osantowski, brother Allen Osantowski; brothers-in-law Earl Sageman Jr, William Burkett; and his parents-in-law Earl and Mary Sageman, and his grandparents.

Per Jason wishes, cremation has taken place, and a memorial service will take place at a later date.
