Helen Marie Lemanski

Helen Lemanski, 94, a resident of Dwight Township passed away peacefully on August

18, 2026. Helen was born in 1932 in Bad Axe, to the late Henry and Anna (Messing)

Essenmacher.

Helen (Essenmacher) and Robert Lemanski were married November of 1961, at Sacred

Heart Catholic Church in Bad Axe. Robert preceded her in death in 2003.

Helen worked for Huron County for forty-four years, serving as County Clerk for

seventeen years. Following her husband’s death, Helen was appointed Dwight

Township Supervisor and served for several years. Helen was an active member of St.

Mary’s Catholic Church in Dwight. She enjoyed sewing, reading, and visiting her

granddaughters.

Helen is survived by her daughter, Bobbi Arnold, granddaughters, Catherine Arnold,

and Christine Arnold; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be offered to the donor’s choice.
