Helen J. Banek, 89, of Bad Axe, passed away on November 24, 2019 at Courtney Manor.

She was born in Detroit, Michigan on December 7, 1929 to the late Felix and Sophie (Fujarczuk) Knobloch.

Helen married Edward Banek on August 13, 1949.  He preceded her in death on July 1, 1996.

She was a former member of St. Felix of Valois Church in Pinnebog.   Helen loved her family and her pets.

Helen is survived by her son, Larry (Cheryle) Banek of Milford, Michigan; her daughter, Elaine (Kenneth) Terry of Bad Axe; her grandchildren: Kevin, Stefani and Kristen; and her great-grandchildren: Teddy and Tommy.

Mass of Christian burial will take place 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Fr. T.J. Fleming officiating.  Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. until time of service.  Burial will follow at St. Felix Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials may be offered to Donor's choice of charity.
