Gregory S. Ordus, 53, of Bad Axe, devoted husband, father, and friend, passed away suddenly on September 4, 2021 at his home.

He was born in Dearborn, Michigan on July 11, 1968 to Dorothy (Helmick) and the late George Ordus Sr.

He graduated from Bad Axe High School in 1986.  Greg worked in the automotive business all his life, at his family's business, Ordus Ford, Inc.

Greg married Dawn M. Wright on December 21, 2001.

Greg enjoyed cheering for the Detroit Lions, fishing with his grandchildren, riding his utility vehicle and tending to his immaculate yard.  He also told terrific jokes.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Dawn Ordus of Bad Axe; his children: Meghan Bowers and her husband, David, of Caseville and Lauren Arntz and her husband, Kyle, of Bad Axe; his mother, Dorothy Ordus of Bad Axe; his step-son, Ryan Buza and his grandchildren: Isaiah Arntz, Kaylee Buza and Alexis Neimann.  Greg is also survived by his brothers: George Ordus Jr. and his wife, Kim and Joseph "Joey" Ordus and his wife, Jennifer, all from Bad Axe; and his nephew and nieces: Jonah, Brooklynn, Bethany and Emily Ordus.

Funeral service for Greg will be 5 p.m. on Friday, September 10, 2021 at the MacAlpine Funeral Home in Bad Axe. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until time of service.  Cremation will take place following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be offered to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital.
