Geraldine (Gerry) Emily Klein 93 years old of Atlanta MI (formerly of Pigeon, MI), passed away peacefully at home, reuniting with her husband on what would have been their 71st wedding anniversary, Thursday June 19, 2025.

Geraldine (Gerry) was born on June 24, 1931, in Atlanta MI, to Carl and Isabelle (Mulholland) Briley. On June 19, 1954, she married her high school sweetheart Ralph (Bud) Klein.

Gerry graduated from Atlanta High School in 1949, she then attended Hillman County Normal school for 1 year where she was then certified to teach in a country school, which she did for the next 4 years. After they married, Bud and Gerry moved to Pigeon where they raised their family. There, Gerry was the assistant librarian at the

Pigeon District Library for 13 years. While in Pigeon, she was an active member of the First United Methodist church, she was part of a bowling league, enjoyed playing piano, having a flower garden, quilting, crocheting, knitting, sewing and playing cards.

After moving back to Atlanta, MI later in life, Gerry worked at a credit union for 6 years before finally retiring. While in Atlanta she was also an active member of the Atlanta Congregational Church, the VFW auxiliary, she gardened, canning what the garden provided, and every spring made maple syrup which was a family event.

Geraldine (Gerry) is survived by her children Linda (Frank) Gorkowski of Filion, Steven (Kim) Klein of Pigeon, daughter-in-law Nancy Klein of Interlochen, MI; grandchildren Jessica Klein, Jason (Jessica) Klein, Lindsay (Steve) Fetterhoff, Nathon (Shelly) Klein, Matthew (Jennifer) Klein, Joshua (Adrienne) Klein, Janelle (Jeremy) Gorkowski, Jacob (Katie) Gorkowski, Ashley (Scott) Curtis, Kyle Gorkowski, Isabella (Kiefer) Thies; great-grandchildren Riley, Dawson, Alexis, Kaitlyn, Ethon, Isabella, Olivia, Daniel, Ross, Maxx, Lennox, Jackson, Monroe, Oakley, Tyler, Hannah, Owen, Abigail, Caleb, Gwendolyn, Emmett, Lena, Lance; great great-grandchildren Leo and Piper. Sister Marlene (Bill) Harrison, in-laws Bill Gardner, Valerie Briley, Barbara Briley, Virgil (Ellen) Klein, Doris Klein, Lyle (Gladys) Klein and cherished nieces, nephews and cousins.

Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years Ralph (Bud), sons Philip Klein and Marvin Klein; parents Carl and Isabelle (Mulholland) Briley; father and mother-in-law Howard and Neva (Graves) Klein; sister Carla Gardner; brothers James Briley and Theodore Briley; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Lois and Bob Weborg; and cherished nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family wishes to thank A&D Hospice for all the heartfelt care and support they provided. Special thank you to Sheila, Debbie, Randall, Jennifer and Robin for all of their special attention given to Gerry in her final days.

Cremation has taken place, and the family will have a graveside service at a later date.
