Gerald L. Vincent, 89 years old of Bad Axe, passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at Medi Lodge of Okemos. He was born on May 4, 1937 to the late Russell and Beatrice (Van Camp) Vincent.  He married the love of his life Shirley Breakie in 1955 and they would have celebrated 71 years of marriage in August.

Gerald was an Army veteran having served in Fort Riley Kansas for two years and in the reserves for four years.

Gerald retired from Frito Lay as a delivery driver. Together they raised five children, and they cherished the time they spent together. He and Shirley could often be seen on their daily walks in town.

Gerald is survived by his wife Shirley; children Tampa (Tom) Cooper, Keven (Tamra Mandich),  Lezle Vonck; grandchildren Derek and Elizabeth Cooper, Christopher Cooper, Bryan and Tabitha Cooper, Karime and Ryan Hord, Chantz and Alissa Vincent, Jessica and Matt Pruente, Carl and Jennifer Vonck ,14 great grandchildren and brother in law Gary and Judy Breakie; sister in law Ilene Breakie,  and many nieces and nephews.

Gerald was preceded in death by his son Kurtis Vincent, daughter Sheri Vincent, son in law Warren Vonck; his brother Grant (Gayle) Vincent; in laws Jack and Marge Breakie; brothers in law Fred Breakie and Johnny Breakie.

A private family graveside service will take place at a later date at Colfax Cemetery in Bad Axe.
