Gary E. Stockoski, 65, of Port Austin, passed away suddenly on October 17, 2020 from injuries sustained in a farming accident.

He was born in Bad Axe, Michigan on January 7, 1955 to the late Raymond and Elizabeth (Rice) Stockoski.

Gary was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church of Port Austin.  He attended North Huron Schools in Kinde.  Gary was a jack of all trades and was always willing to help anyone he could.  He was the golf course supervisor at Pointe Aux Barques Township for many years.

He is survived by the love of his life of 46 years, Katherine Herrington; his son, Kyle Herrington of Bad Axe; his brother: Kenneth Stockoski of Port Austin; and his sister, Karen Stockoski of the Detroit area.  Gary is also survived by his aunt, Josephine Korloeski of Kinde; his nieces: Dawna (James) Bemis and Kristi (Steve) Niemiec; three great nieces and two great nephews and many cousins.

Gary was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Kozlowski and several aunts and uncles.

Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. on Friday, October 23, 2020 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Port Austin with Fr. Craig Carolan officiating.  Burial will take place at the church cemetery.

Family and friends may gather at the church from 10 a.m. until time of service.
