Evelyn Loraine Zick, 84, of Harbor Beach, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2015 at Courtney Manor in Bad Axe.

Evelyn was born in Sand Beach Township on June 11, 1931 to the late Walter and Matilda (Gerstenschlager) Nemitz.

On June 18, 1949, she married Wilbert William Zick in Ruth, Michigan. He preceded her in death in May of 1995.

As a child, Evelyn attended the Schultz Rural Country School and later graduated from Harbor Beach High School in 1949. She enjoyed fishing, quilting and reading.

Evelyn is survived by her children: Kenneth (Nancy) Zick of Michigan City, Indiana, Linda (Dean) Kelley of Kinde, Dale (Wendy) Zick of Port Hope, Dennis (Ann) Zick of Port Hope, Dean Zick of Harbor Beach and Janet (James) Arntz of Harbor Beach; sixteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sister Betty (Terry) Penn; brother Norman (Ruth) Nemitz; and sister in law Patricia Nemitz and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by brothers, Ronald, Melvin, and Earl Nemitz and sister Ester Nemitz.

Funeral service will be 1 pm Monday July 20th at MacAlpine Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 9 am until time of service. Burial will take place at Colfax Township Cemetery.

Memorials may be offered to Huron County Right to Life or the American Heart Association.
