Ethelene "Midge" Marie Ritter, 91 years old of Filion, passed away on Friday June 23, 2023 at Meadow Lane in Bad Axe, Michigan. She was born on August 31, 1931 to the late Joseph C. and Beulah (Yingling) Klee.

Midge married Rudolph Kosinski on October 18, 1952. He preceded her in death in 1955. She married James Ritter on August 9, 1958 and he preceded her in death in 1990.

Midge was a homemaker and farmer, enjoyed watching game shows and western movies, playing "Sorry", doing puzzles, and going out to eat. There were always extra kids in the home as she helped raise many in the county.

She is survived by her sons; Dan Kosinski "Boom" (Margaret Perdue), Mike Ritter (Vicky), Mark Ritter (Dena Holz), Dennis Ritter (Carol Schipinski), Steve Ritter; daughters Diane Young ( Dennis Horetski), Rose Chapel (Bill), Sandi Haley (Randy), Brenda Pethers (Cap) sisters; Elaine Ritter, Lorraine Jaskowski (Virgil) Karen Osweld (Mike), Sharon Loudin (Mike), Marge Maurer (Phil), Debbie Hewitt  (Don) ;brothers Bernard (Gigi) Klee, Chuck (Dawn) Klee, Ed (Sandy) Klee; sisters-in-law Margaret Wolfe, Eva Houston, Sara Schenk, Ann Klee, Shellie Ritter, Roxanne Klee and Ann Hagel; 14 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Midge was preceded in death by brothers; Joseph Jr. Klee, Francis Klee, Robert Klee, sisters; Eve Griggs, Bernie Gay, Linda Parrish, Wanda Klee; grandson Kurt Young; sisters-in-law Beverly Klee, Nancy Klee, brothers-in-law Dave Wolfe, John Houston, Harold Schenk, Warren Hagel, Wayne Ritter  and Tim Ritter.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday June 29, 2023 at 11:00 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bad Axe, with Fr. T.J. Fleming officiating.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday June 28, 2023 from 2:00-8:00 PM at the MacAlpine Funeral Home in Bad Axe, and from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the church. A Rosary service will be held at 7:00 PM at the funeral home on Wednesday.

The family wishes to extend a Thank you to the caregivers at Meadow Lane in Bad Axe, and also to Compassus Hospice for all of the wonderful care given to their Mother.

Memorials may be offered to the family discretionary fund.
