Ernest Charles Stoddard, 82 years old, formerly of Sand Point, MI, passed away on January 12, 2025 at Courtney Manor Nursing Home in Bad Axe, Michigan. Ernie was born on April 10, 1942 to the late Charles and Clairbelle (Randell) Stoddard. On March 9, 1963 he married the love of his life Elizabeth Kerr. They celebrated 60 years of married life together before she passed away on June 25, 2023.

Ernie retired from Saginaw Steering Geer where he was a supervisor for many years. Ernie enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time on his pontoon on the beautiful clear water of Lake Huron. He and Beth loved to entertain with family and friends every chance they could as he enjoyed talking with people. He was also very involved with the Sand Point Association where they had made their home.

Ernie is survived by his son Brent (Rose Cooper) and his daughter Kimberly (Tim Schipper) Stoddard. He is also survived by his brother Robert (Marcia) Stoddard, and grandson Joe Stoddard. He was preceded in death by his wife Beth, and his sister Marlene Moore.

Funeral Service for Ernest will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2025 at 12:00 PM with Rev. Christina Jensen officiating, at MacAlpine Funeral Home in Bad Axe, MI.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2025 from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM at MacAlpine Funeral Home in Bad Axe, MI.

The family will have a Celebration of Life for Ernie and Beth, May 17th, 2025, 11:00 AM at the Kinde Presbyterian Church.

Memorials may be offered in his name to Kinde Presbyterian Church.
