Erma May Taylor, 85, of Port Huron, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2016 at McLaren Port Huron Hospital.

She was born in Macedonia, Iowa on September 12, 1930 to the late James R. and Lula (Rash) Taylor. On March 18, 1949 she married Herman E. Taylor in Coal Valley, Illinois. He preceded her in death on November 25, 1975.

Erma attended Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading and helping out at the soup kitchen in Port Huron.

She is survived by her sons: Robert Taylor, Anthony Taylor, David Taylor and his friend, Sheryl, and William Taylor and his wife, Sharon; daughters: Sharon Vlier and her husband, Dan, and Janet Erickson and her friend, Steve Peterson; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; sister Minnie Price and many nieces and nephews.

Erma was preceded in death by her sons: Roger and Kerry Taylor; siblings: Curtis Taylor, Gomer Taylor, Velma Johnson, Vera Price, LaVonne Riggs and Lauretta Martindale.

Visitation will be on 2 – 8 pm on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at the MacAlpine Mac Chapel in Bad Axe. Cremation will follow at Sunset Valley Crematory in Bay City. A spring burial will be at Colfax Township Cemetery.

Memorials may be offered to the family discretionary fund.
