Eleanor Francis Young, 86 years old of Bad Axe, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2024 at Huron County Medical Care Facility.

Eleanor was born on May 20, 1938 to the late Arthur and Hazel (Schram) Young. She was one of five children.

Eleanor had an infectious smile and was loved by those that knew her. She loved to sing Christmas carols, dance and do crafts, puzzles and color beautiful pictures. She was in Special Olympics and had won a Blue Ribbon which she was very proud of.

Eleanor is survived by her sister Rosella Sadro and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brothers Erwin Young, Verne (Charlene) Young, and Arthur Young; and brother in law Ervin Sadro.

A funeral service for Eleanor will be held on Monday, November 11, 2024 at MacAlpine Funeral Home in Bad Axe at 1:00 with Pastor Austin Keller officiating.

Visitation will be held at MacAlpine Funeral Home from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM.

Memorials may be offered in Eleanor's name to the Thumb Animal Shelter in Elkton.
