Elaine G. Lasceski, 74 years old of Filion, passed away on January 29, 2023. Elaine was born on November 29, 1948 to the late Leo and Angeline (Kucharczyk) Grifka. Dennis and Elaine were married on April 26, 1969 and were married for 53 years, and enjoyed raising their six children while also farming. Elaine loved to bake, enjoyed quilting and listening to Polka music. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, and they always brought a smile to her face.

Elaine is survived by her husband Dennis; children Joseph (Jennifer) Lasceski, Harold (Emily) Lasceski, Terry (Jennifer Nigl) Lasceski, Daniel (Kati) Lasceski, Rhonda (Steve) Geiger, Angela Lasceski; grandchildren Will and Wyatt Lasceski, Abby and Isabelle Phillips, Makenna and Trent Lasceski, Isaac Lasceski, Leo (Kayla) Toth, Jaclyn (Brandon) Klee, Lucas and Courtney Geiger, Charolette Lasceski; great grandchildren Bo Toth and Greyson Klee; her brother Arnold (Mary) Grifka, her sisters in law Carol Grifka, and Sandy Grifka, and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her brothers Kenneth Grifka and Donald Grifka.

Funeral service for Elaine will be held on Monday, February 6, 2023 at 12:00 noon at the MacAlpine Funeral Home in Bad Axe, with Ralph Daigle officiating. Burial will be in Colfax Township cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 5, 2023 from 2-8 PM at the MacAlpine Funeral Home and also from 10:00 until the time of service on Monday.
