Edward A. Schroka 60 years old of Bad Axe, died on February 9, 2023 at McLaren Bay Region after a short battle with kidney and lung cancer,  surrounded by his family and friends. Ed was born on February 4, 1963 to the late Dennis and Katherine (Semperger) Schroka in Detroit.

In the late 90's, Ed moved from the city to Port Austin to work with his father at Lake Industries. Ed continued to work and became owner after his father's death in November of 2017.

He married Theresa Ventline on December 22, 1999 and they were married for 23 years. Ed loved summer days spent grilling, he enjoyed listening to music and drinking beer with his sons. He loved to read about history and automobiles.

Ed is survived by his wife Theresa, and two sons Eddie and Joe; sister and brother in law Keli and James Kemp; brothers and sisters in laws Ed and Versa Ventline, and Tom and Penny Ventline; and his dear friend and business partner Andrew Kruske.

He was also preceded in death by his father and mother in law Leo and Clara Ventline.

Per Ed's wishes, cremation has taken place at Sunset Valley Crematory in Bay City, and there will not be any services.

Memorials may be offered in Ed's name to Fiddler's Green in Bad Axe, and the American Cancer Society.  Let's Pray for a Cure.
