Doris J. Scherret, 67 years old, of Port Hope, formerly of Bad Axe, passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at Harbor Beach Community hospital. She was born on January 14, 1956 to the late Lloyd and Bonnie (Enos) Perry. Doris and Elmer Scherret were married on December 21, 2005 and lived in Bad Axe for their married life before he preceded her in death on January 4, 2019.

Doris delivered newspapers for many years, she enjoyed putting puzzles together and working on paint by number pictures.

Doris is survived by her brothers Dale (Kathy) Perry, Donald Perry Sr., Loren Perry, John (Brenda) Perry; sisters Shirley Manns, Linda (Steven) Hogan; several nieces and nephews and special friend Willy Scherret.

A graveside service will take place on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at 9:00 AM, at Marquardt Cemetery of Port Hope, Michigan.

Per Doris's wishes, cremation has taken place at Sunset Valley Crematory in Bay City, Michigan.
