Doreen Marie Peterson 81 of Bad Axe passed away peacefully June 17, 2024, at Courtney Manor Bad Axe.

She was born on October 19, 1942, to the late Franklin and Mary (Guitar) Schroeder.  Doreen married Robert Elwin Peterson and they enjoyed 37 years together until his death on October 11, 2002.

Doreen was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church /St. Hubert Parish Bad Axe.  Doreen was the chief bookkeeper of Pennzoil Lube Center in Bad Axe that she and Robert owned and operated.

Doreen enjoyed many a bowling and favorite card game of Euchre.

Doreen is survived by her sister Judy (Elmer) Gwisdalla, brother-in-law Richard (Judy) Peterson, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her spouse Robert Elwin Peterson their children, John Robert and Gloria Ann Peterson, twin sister Gertrude Schroeder, sister Elaine and brother- in- law Jim Grifka and brother- in- law Don Peterson.

Visitation will be 9am to11am on Saturday June 22, 2024, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church /St. Hubert Parish Bad Axe.

Mass of Christian burial will take place Saturday June 22, 2024, at 11:00am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church /St. Hubert Parish with Fr.

T. J. Fleming officiating. Burial to follow, at Sacred Heart Catholic cemetery.

Doreen's family would like to thank the staff at Courtney Manor for their extraordinary care.
