Donna Jean Young, 84, of Bad Axe and formerly of Clinton Township, passed away on September 15, 2015 at Courtney Manor.

Donna was born on May 15, 1931 to the late Ivan and Mildred (Brush) Canty in Grosse Pointe, Michigan.

She married Richard A. Young in August of 1976. He preceded her in death on April 20, 2004.

Donna was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Bad Axe. She worked in sales at J.C. Penny and Sears.

Donna is survived by her children Vicky (Rod) Schweigert of Bad Axe, Robert Harrison of East Pointe, Sharon Saiver of California, Pamela Harrison of East Pointe, Jessie (Tony) Childers of California and William (Robin) Harrison of Bad Axe; a brother, Michael Canty of Tennessee; 15 grandchildren, six great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and her best friend Mina P. at Courtney Manor.

She was preceded in death by her son John Harrison; and siblings: David, Doug, Roger, Barbara and Diane.

Per Donna's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at Our Savior Lutheran Church at a later date.

Memorials may be offered to the Family Discretionary Fund or to the Activities Fund for Courtney Manor.
