Delores M. "Toots" Johnson , 98 years old of Pinnebog, passed away on Saturday September 24, 2022, with her family by her side. She was born to the late Dewey and Elizabeth (Bambach) Upthegrove, in Filion, Michigan on December 30, 1923. Delores and James Johnson were married April 30, 1943. She and James were married for 31 years before her preceded her in death.

"Toots" enjoyed spending hours reading Westerns, crocheting and fishing with her children and grandchildren. She was a member of Cross Lutheran Church in Pigeon.

She is survived by her children; Karen (Dennis) White of Torrington, WY, Janice (Dale) Keeler of Montrose, MI, Robert (Eileen) Johnson, Filion MI, Dale (Sandy) Johnson of Hartshorn, OK, eleven grandchildren,  twenty-three  great grandchildren, seven great, great grandchildren and  brother and sister in law John (Rose) Tostevin. She was preceded in death by her husband, and sister Shirley Tostevin.

The funeral service for "Toots" will be held on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Cross Lutheran Church in Pigeon, with Rev. Glenn Sokolowski officiating, with burial in St. Felix Cemetery in Hume Township. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at MacAlpine Funeral Home in Bad Axe, 2-8 PM, and also 10:00 AM until the time of service on Wednesday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be offered to Cross Lutheran School or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
