David G. Wolfe, 76, of Chandler Township, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2018 at his home under hospice care.

Dave was born in Bad Axe, Michigan on December 25, 1941 to the late Clarence and Annabel (Maynard) Wolfe.

He graduated from Elkton High School in 1960, the last graduating class of the school.

Dave served in the U.S. Army in the 7 ^th Special Forces from November 1960 to November 1963.  He worked at Pontiac Motors before getting into construction.  He eventually returned to Huron County where he owned and operated his own construction business for over forty years.

On August 5, 1993, he married Marcia Damm.

Dave loved hunting, going on motorcycle rides, and visiting with people.   He was always on the move.

He is survived by his wife, Marcia Wolfe of Elkton; his children: Chancey (Correy) Wolfe of Wake Forest, North Carolina, Kurt (Alissa) Jurek of Lenox, Michigan, Tara (Jeff) Lawrence of Pigeon and L.J. (Chris) Wade of Bad Axe; grandchildren: Allie and Jackson Wolfe, Lincoln and Rowan Jurek, Drew and Brody Lawrence, Zachary Arntz, and Isaac and Wyatt Wade.  He is also survived by his brother, James (Gail) Wolfe of Caseville and his sisters, Carole Hobkirk of Bad Axe and Deb (Ron) Ruth of Elkton.

Dave was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Robert Hobkirk.

Funeral service for Dave will be on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at the Bad Axe Free Methodist Church with Rev. Jerry Sutton officiating.   Burial will take place at Chandler Township Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Monday, May 28, 2018 at the MacAlpine Funeral Home in Bad Axe at the church on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until time of service.

Memorials may be offered to Compassus Hospice of Cass City or to the Bad Axe Free Methodist Church.
