Christine Alice (Shedd) Elliott, 72, of Las Cruces, New Mexico entered eternal life and received her victor's crown on January 21, 2025, at Arbor Rose assisted living facility in Mesa, Arizona.

She was Born January 4, 1953 In Ypsilanti, Michigan to the late Leonard S and Evelyn M (Zacharek).  She attended St. John's Lutheran Church and school in Westland, Michigan where she was baptized and confirmed.  She moved to Verona, MI in 1965 where she attended Verona Mills School and later Bad Axe High School where she graduated in 1971.  She was united in marriage to Reed P. Elliott on September 15, 1972 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Bad Axe, Michigan. Soon after, Reed and Chris moved to Germany with the US Army and spent four years in Neu Ulm, FRG.  Upon return from Germany in December 1976, they were stationed at White Sands Missile Range (WSMR), New Mexico. They moved to neighboring Las Cruces in 1980. Chris worked at WSMR until 1996 as a Budget Analyst, responsible for the financial oversight of many government contracts valued in millions of dollars.

She is survived by her husband Reed; her children Kimberly Elliott Drexler (Steven) of Mesa, Arizona; Reed P (Jr) (Melissa) of Las Cruces, New Mexico.  Grandson Gabriel (Samantha) Galvan of White House, Tennessee; Granddaughters Emma Christine and Elizabeth Joy of Mesa, Arizona; and Great Granddaughter Alora Rene Galvan of White House, Tennessee. Brothers Gary (Kathy) Shedd of Harbor Beach, Michigan and Thomas (fiance Cindy Lackowski Miller) Shedd of Bad Axe, Michigan.

Chris loved camping with the family, playing cards and board games, square dancing, reading, crafts, shopping, and especially spending time with her children and grandchildren.

A service will be held March 21, 2025 at 11:00 am, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 4645 Bataan Memorial West, Las Cruces, New Mexico, Pastor P. Rydecki presiding. A graveside service will be held on June 27, 2025 at the Verona Cemetery in Michigan, Pastor K. Lueke presiding.
