Betty Jo Maxwell, 64, of Bad Axe, passed away on October 13, 2015 at McLaren Bay Regional Hospital in Bay City with her family by her side.

Betty was born in Pigeon on January 13, 1951 to the late Floyd and Pearl (Boss) Snay.

On February 21, 1970, she married Dale Maxwell in Bad Axe. He preceded her in death on January 7, 2007.

Betty enjoyed camping at Duggan's, crocheting, playing Euchre, and spending time with her family and friends. In her younger years, she loved going on motorcycle rides with her husband.

Betty is survived by her three daughters: Tracy (Dale) Clark of Caseville, Kelly (Steve) Young of Bad Axe and Marcia (Bob) Jordan of Bad Axe; grandchildren: Andrew & Justin Clark, Katlyn & Hannah Young and MacKenzie, Mason and Miley Jordan; brother Dale (Kathy) Snay; sisters Sandy Rapson, Sharon (Richard) Sobczak and Marcia (Dennis) Bills; special friend, Fred Seiger and special granddaughter, Destiney Reese.

She was preceded in death by brothers in law: Herbert Rapson and Fred (Barbara) Maxwell and sisters in law: Delores (Frank) Karle and Shirley (Rowland) Hill.

Funeral service for Betty will be 11 am on Saturday, October 17th at the MacAlpine Funeral Home in Bad Axe with Rev. William O'Nan officiating. Burial will be at Colfax Township cemetery.

Visitation will be 2 to 9 pm on Friday, October 16th at the MacAlpine Funeral Home in Bad Axe and on Saturday, October 17th 10 am until time of service.

Memorials may be offered to the family discretionary fund.
